Arrrgh! I finally get a blog set up and the boys deside to play with the computer. Now I can't access the internet from home. Hopefully I can figure out what they did this weekend so that I can post a picture of the lacy sock that I just finished. Toe up with the Norwegian Fir lace pattern from The Knitter's Bible in green Austermann Step. Very cute. Updates when I get the computer fixed.

hi, welcome to my blog. Thanks to Denise at wowyoucandothat for the help to get started. I enjoy most crafts but knitting is my almost constant companion. There is a lot of free time at my job so I fill it with whatever project is my current companion. Right now it is lace socks in Austermann Step (it has Aloe and Jojoba oils in it) love this yarn. Also otn is a baby hat in Cascade Fixation.

I live in beautiful Northern Michigan near the Mackinac Bridge. There are many inland lakes and rivers in our area as well as two Great Lakes. The tourist season stretches for most of the year thanks to camping and boating in summer and skiing and snowmobiling in the winter.

I am the proud mom of a smart and talented 15 year old daughter. As most parents can tell you these teen years are not always the easiest to endure but we're doing our best. She is an only child and an only granddaughter (can you say spoiled?). My siblings have 2 boys each. The youngest two (ages 3 and 4) spend a good share of their time with me because their mom works evenings. So it's like having 3 kids of my own.
